The story
A simple service was held at the graveside in Highland Park Memorial Cemetary, Johnston, RI. It was officiated by Rev. William Loring, son-in-law. Close family were present: Mary Dale Amison (daughter) and her husband Jim Dewoskin, Diane Loring (daughter) and her husband Rev. William Lorig and Donna Stevens (daughter). Because Doris was a veteran, having served in the Navy during WWII, military honors were presented by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
