The story

Frank boarded General Slocum with his sister Margaret (11) for an Evangelical church picnic at 10:00 AM. A few minutes later a fire started off the whole steamship from a careless lit up kerosene lamp. Hundreds of people perished from drowning (they can't swim with rotted life-jackets) or were burnt to death. Frank and his sister sadly perished in the disaster.
