The story

Boarded General Slocum for an Evangelist church picnic at 9:30 A.M. Few minutes later the Slocum was in flames. The mother Katherine went into a panic which caused her three daughters Lizzie (11) Tennie (8) and Katie to perish in the disaster. John Muth and his 3 year old son somehow survived.
